Fishing Area Map
We fish from the Marquesas, (20 miles west of Key West), to the 7 Mile Bridge area. This gets us away from the crowds, where it’s just us and the Big fish in an epic adventure. View a map of the area.

Lodging & Rates
We have a variety of packages to suit your fishing needs, and can tailor your trip for the catch your looking for. We also recommend Sugar Loaf Lodge for your lodging needs while in the area.

Specializing In
We’ve been fishing for (and catching) Bonefish, Permit, and Tarpon using Flies and Artifical Lures since 1997 using our own boats that have been customized for the area and species of fish.
Welcome To Captain Mike Gorton Site
Dear Fellow Fishing Fanatic,
Feeling the itch to leave it all behind for a few days…let the rigors of daily life melt away on the bow of our custom built Beavertail Elite…whether you mettle with fly or spin there’s a memory out there waiting for you to cast to it!
Success on the flats is measured by the ability to visually locate fish, to quietly approach to within casting distance, to precisely place your cast, and to masterfully play the fish during its long runs over the flats. The stalking of these elusive fish is always an adrenaline rush, but the landing of your trophy fish is truly a memory of a lifetime.
I can help you make that memory.
We offer a half-day fishing trip which departs at either 7:30am or 1:00pm and includes:
Rods/Tackle, etc.
Snacks, water, and sodas
Digital photos of your trip
Polarized sunglasses/Rain gear
Our Full-day fishing trip departs at 7:30am, (or earlier if you’d like), and usually finishes up around 6pm, (or later if you’d care to stay out), and includes:
Rods/Tackle, etc.
Snacks, water, and sodas
A full Lunch
Digital photos of your trip
Polarized sunglasses/Rain gear
Our night fishing trip is for Tarpon and large Snapper and usually starts around sundown and ends when the fishing slows, (sometimes sunrise!), and includes:
